Youth Journal, Saturday, Feb 13

Today was ravishing!  We became the lucky people in the world to visit the world's oldest and largest religious temple, Angkor Wat.  The architecture is phenomenal and to think of all work and technology that went into the building process truly shows how advanced the civilization once was.  At the temple, we were greeted by young girls, one who spoke English as if she was raised by English parents to sell us bracelets and other things.  Several of us fell for their charm and bought from them, and in return we received a hand drawn flower and a note wishing us in luck.  After the temple, we took about a three hour bus ride where we went to our hotel and then took a short walk around town ... the people would stare but were very friendly.  By the way, we are in Asia.
