On Sunday, September 20th, the Copake United Methodist Church successfully combined two local visions into one very successful and, I thought, very moving Sunday. The congregation invited all the men and women who serve the Copake community along with their families to attend a 10:30am church service which was dedicated to the noble concept of volunteerism. The congregation saluted and gave thanks to the people who volunteer their time and energy by giving to the community and demonstrating a unique kind of devotion to improving our surroundings when and where it is possible.
