About The Team

Gail Erdie, Direcor

Gail Erdie has been involved with Wellspring since attending Class I. Gail is a member of the New Paltz United Methodist Church, a Certified Lay Speaker in the Catskill Hudson District, and the Spiritual Life Coordinator in that District and as such has lead workshops on the District. She is currently serving the Lloyd United Methodist Church, a small rural church near her home in New Paltz. In the past Gail served on the UMW District Team as well. She continues to attend Upper Room 5 Day Academies
Gail was the Community Educator and then the Executive Director of the Alcohol and Substance Abuse Council of Ulster County. Her interest in Addiction, Recovery and Prevention continues and she does community based workshops for the local Hot-line. Upon the completion of her Wellspring Class she began leading Spiritual Life Retreats within our Conference as well as Retreats within the Recovery Community. She also is available as a Spiritual Director.

Gail grew up in Riverside, Rhode Island, and now lives in New Paltz, New York, with her husband Jack. She has a daughter, Karen, and two sons, Charles and John, five grandchildren, and one great-grandson. Gail still likes to do cross-stitch, craftwork and Grandma-stuff.
